And take noticethat the Development Services Committee of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public Meeting on Wednesday,February 1, 2017, at 5:30p.m.in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the Public Meeting is to notify the publicand to obtain publiccomments on aproposed Amendment tothe Zoning By-law. The subject landsare described as Part of Lots 22and 23, Concession 10.A key map illustrating the location of the subject lands, and a copy of the applicant’s site plan including the lands affected by the Amendment, are included with this Notice. The purposeand effect of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to comply with a condition imposed by the Township’s Development Services Committee with respect to Consent Application 2016-B-18. The retained portion of the lands are presently zoned Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) and is proposed to be rezoned to a site-specific Agricultural/Rural Exception # (A/RU*#) Zone to prohibit residential use. The severed portion of the lands which supports the existing single detached dwelling and presently zoned Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) is not subject to the rezoning and will resultin a 1.1 hectare (2.8 acre) residential lot, zoned Agricultural/Rural (A/RU). Any personmay attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of, or in opposition to, the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment. Written comments by any person unable to attend the meeting should be mailed/faxed/e-mailed to the Secretary- Treasurer, The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte to be received no later than 12:00 p.m. noon on February 1, 2017. Please ensure that you include your name and address so that you may be contacted if necessary. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at the public meeting or make written submissionsto the Secretary-Treasurer, The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte before the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is passed or refused, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte to the Ontario Municipal Board and may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
