A By-law to Appoint a Representative to the
Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority Board of Directors
and to repeal By -Law No. 2015-189
Whereas Section 224 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S. 0. 2001, c.25, as amended,
provides that the role of Council is to ensure that administrative practices are in place to
implement the decisions of Council;
And Whereas Section 14 of the Conservation Authorities Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. C.27, as
amended, provides that members of an authority shall be appointed by the respective
councils of the participating municipalities;
And Whereas the Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte declared by Motion No.
C1 61123-22 to appoint a representative to the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation
Authority Board of Directors;
Now Therefore the Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte hereby enacts as follows:
That Councillor Phil Hall be appointed to the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation
Authority Board of Directors.
2. That the appointment outlined in (1) above be for the 2017-2018 term.
3. That By -Law No. 2015-189 is hereby repealed in its entirety.
4. And That this by-law shall come into force and take effect on January 1, 2017.
