A By-law to Appoint a Representative to the
Orillia Chamber of Commerce and repeal By -Law No. 2015-009
Whereas Section 224 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.25, as amended,
provides that the role of Council is to ensure that administrative practices are in place to
implement the decisions of Council;
And Whereas the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte
declared by Motion No. C161123-24, to appoint a member to the Orillia Chamber of
Commerce.
And Whereas the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte deems it
desirable to pass a by-law to appoint such a committee member;
Now Therefore the Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte hereby enacts as follows:
1. That the following member be appointed to the Orillia Chamber of Commerce.
• Councillor Scott Jermey
2. That the appointment outlined in (1) above be for the 2017-2018 term.
3. That By -Law No. 2015-009 is hereby repealed in its entirety.
4. And That this by-law shall come into force and take effect on January 1, 2017.
