Public Meetings: a) Notice of Receipt of a Complete Application, Notice of Particulars and Public Access, Notice of Public Meeting for Proposed Amendment to the Zoning By -Law and Report No. DS2016-044, Adrianna Spinosa, Intermediate Planner re: Randy & Bonnie Sheldrake Temporary Use By-law for Garden Suite (Granny Flat) Concession 1, West Part Lot 32 (Oro), Township of Oro-Medonte, 2309 Penetanguishene Road, 2016-ZBA-04 (Sheldrake) [Refer to Items 5c) & 5d) 06 01 2016 Council Agenda]. Deputy Mayor Hough called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m. and explained the public meeting has been called in accordance with Section 34, of the Planning Act, to obtain public comment with respect to a proposed Development Application. Zoning By-law Amendment application 2016-ZBA-04 proposes to construct a Garden Suite (second dwelling unit) on the subject property known as 2309 Penetanguishene Road, on a temporary basis for a period of 10 years. Notice of the Public Meeting was mailed to landowners within 120 metres of the specified site on May 12, 2016 and a notice sign was posted on the subject property on or before May il, 2016. The following correspondence was received: Simcoe County District School Board dated May 13, 2016; Township of Oro-Medonte Building Division dated May 16, 2016; County of Simcoe, Transportation and Engineering Department and Planning Department dated May 19, 2016; Township of Oro-Medonte Transportation Division dated May 18, 2016. Derek Witlib, Manager, Planning Services explained the purpose and effect of the proposed amendment. A PowerPoint presentation was presented. The following public persons offered verbal comments with respect to the proposed amendment: Barry Rix provided comments with respect to a stone boundary fence and when fencing is to be done, he would like to make further comments as the engineering is still to be completed. Jean Claude provided comments with respect to dates and confirmation of timing. Deputy Mayor Hough advised that additional deputations to the Committee or Council regarding this application may be permitted, but only for the introduction to new information not already presented through the Public Meeting process. A digital recording of the meeting is available for review through the Township's website. That Zoning By-law Amendment Application 2016-ZBA-04 by R. & B. Sheldrake, specifically to _permit a Garden Suite for the lands described as Concession 1, West Part Lot 32 (Oro), 2309 Penetanguishene Road for a period of 10 years, be approved. 3. That the appropriate by-laws be brought forward for Council's consideration. 4. And that the applicant be advised of the Committee's decision under the Director, Development Services' signature.
