CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE
BY-LAW NO.
95-74
Being a By-law to Authorize a Decrease in the Speed Limit on
certain Roads within the Township of Oro-Medonte
WHEREAS the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O., 1990r Chapter H.8,
section 128(2) authorizes the Council of a municipality to
pass By-laws to prescribe a lower rate of speed for motor
vehicles on a highway or portion of highway under its
jurisdiction;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed necessary and expedient that the
speed limit for motor vehicles on certain portions of highways
under the jurisdiction of the Township of Oro-Medonte be
decreased;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of The corporation of the Township
of Oro-Medonte hereby enacts as follows:
1.
That the maximum speed limit on highways listed and
described on Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of
this by-lawr shall be 50 ki10metres per hour.
That the penalties provided for in the Highway Traffic
Act, R.S.O., Chapter H.8, section 128(14) as amended
shall apply to offenses against this by-law.

That the portions of highway outlined in Schedule "A"
attached to and forming part of this by-lawr shall be
signed according to the Regulations under the Highway
Traffic Act, as amended pursuant to section 128(1).
4.
That this by-law shall come into force and take effect on
the date of its final passing.
