Adoption of Agenda: a) Motion to Adopt the Agenda. Motion No. HC160321-1 Moved by Thibeault, Seconded by Moore It is recommended that the agenda for the Heritage Committee meeting held on Monday, March 21, 2016 be received and adopted. 2. Adoption of Minutes of Previous Meeting: a) Minutes of Heritage Committee meeting held on Monday, February 22, 2016. Motion No. HC160321-2 Moved by Fountain, Seconded by Moore It is recommended that the draft minutes of Heritage Committee meeting held on Monday, February 22, 2016 be received and adopted as printed and circulated. Carried. 4. Deputations: None. 5. Communications: a) Correspondence dated January 25, 2016 from J.B.C. Doyon, CD, Colonel; and J.G. Massie, MSM, Honorary Colonel, National Defence, Office of the Commander, Canadian Forces Base Borden/MilitaryPersonnel Generation, Training Group re: CFB Borden Centennial Memorial Wall, Borden Legacy Project, Time Capsule. Motion No. HC160321-3 Moved by O'Donnell, Seconded by Whiston It is recommended 1. That the correspondence dated January 25, 2016 from J.B.C. Doyon, CD, Colonel; and J.G. Motion No. HC160321-4 Moved by Fountain, Seconded by Thibeault It is recommended 1. That the correspondence from the City of Stratford re: 2016 Ontario Heritage Conference, May 12-14, 2016, Stratford - St. Marys be received. 2. That it is recommended to Council that Trudy O'Donnell and Lynda Whiston be authorized to attend. 3. And That staff RSVP accordingly. Carried. c) Minutes of Oro African Methodist Episcopal Church Steering Committee meeting held on February 29, 2016. Motion No. HC160321-5 Moved by O'Donnell, Seconded by Whiston It is recommended that the minutes of Oro African Methodist Episcopal Church Steering Committee meeting held on February 29, 2016 be received. Carried. 6. Reports of Members of Committee, Council, Municipal Officers: a) Councillor Jermey re: Municipal Heritage Registry Policy POL-PR-013, Rugby Community Hall. Motion No. HC160321-6 Moved by Whiston, Seconded by Fountain It is recommended 1. That the verbal information presented by Councillor Jermey re: Municipal Heritage Registry Policy POL-PR-013, Rugby Community Hall be received. 2. And That Sandie Leonard, Coordinator, Community Recreation, Recreation & Community Services discuss listing with the Oro-Medonte Hall Boards. Carried. Motion No. HC160321-7 Moved by Thibeault, Seconded by O'Donnell It is recommended 1. That the correspondence presented by Sandie Leonard, Coordinator, Community Recreation, Recreation & Community Services re: Champlain: Regional Inventory be received. 2. That it is recommended to Council that the Champlain: Regional Inventory received March 9, 2016 be received and verified. 3. That the Cahiague Site, the Ball Site and the route of Highway 12 be added to the list. 4. And That the applicant be advised accordingly under the Director, Recreation & Community Services' signature. Carried. c) Sandie Leonard, Coordinator, Community Recreation, Recreation & Community Services re: Heritage Committee Review of Articles. Motion No. HC160321-8 Moved by O'Donnell, Seconded by Whiston It is recommended 1. That the verbal information presented by Sandie Leonard, Coordinator, Community Recreation, Recreation & Community Services re: Heritage Committee Review of Articles be received. 2. That the correspondence dated March 21, 2016 from Dorothy Moore be received. 3. And That staff proceed accordingly in consultation with the Heritage Committee. Carried.
