1. Opening of the Meeting by the Deputy Clerk:
Staff opened the meeting.
2. Selection of Chairperson:
a) Motion for Selection of a Chairperson.

It is recommended that the Chairperson for the 2015 Citizen/Senior of the Year Advisory
Group meeting be Lu LaFrance as voted by the Advisory Group.

3. Adoption of Agenda:
a) Motion for Adoption of Agenda.

It is recommended that the agenda for the 2015 Citizen/Senior of the Year Advisory
Group meeting of Monday, March 30, 2015 be received and adopted.

4. Adoption of Minutes of Previous Meeting:
a) Minutes of meeting held on Monday, March 31, 2014.

It is recommended that the draft minutes of the 2014 Citizen/Senior of the Year Advisory
Group meeting held on Monday, March 31, 2014 be received and adopted as printed
and circulated.

5. Presentation of Nominations and Discussion, re: Oro-Medonte Citizen of the
Year Nominees:
a) Motion to open discussion of nominations.

It is recommended that the Advisory Group have an open discussion with respect to the
2015 Oro-Medonte Citizen of the Year nominations.

b) Motion to close discussion and commence vote of nominations.

It is recommended that the discussion with respect to the nominations for the 2015 Oro-
Medonte Citizen of the Year be closed and further that the vote take place.

It is recommended that the Advisory Group have a second round of voting from the top
two ranking nominations in order for the decision to be a majority.

6. Voting:
a) Motion to Council to recommend 2015 Oro-Medonte Citizen of the Year.

It is recommended to Council that Joyce Sinton be nominated as the 2015 Oro-Medonte
Citizen of the Year as voted by the Advisory Group.
Carried.
b) Motion to destroy ballots.

Moved by Betty Veitch, Seconded by Pat Shellswell
It is recommended that the 2015 Oro-Medonte Citizen of the Year ballots be destroyed.

Nominees:
a) Motion to open discussion of nominations.

It is recommended that the Advisory Group have an open discussion with respect to the
2015 Ontario Senior of the Year nominations.
Carried.
b) Motion to close discussion and commence vote of nominations.

It is recommended that the discussion with respect to the nominations for the 2015
Ontario Senior of the Year be closed and further that the vote take place.

8. Voting:
a) Motion to Council to recommend 2015 Ontario Senior of the Year.

It is recommended to Council that Betty and Tom Partridge be nominated as the 2015
Ontario Senior of the Year as voted by the Advisory Group.

It is recommended that the 2015 Ontario Senior of the Year ballots be destroyed.

It is recommended that henceforth the Advisory Group continues to vote for the Oro-
Medonte Citizen of the Year and Ontario Senior of the Year nominees until there is a
majority, of the members present voting, for one candidate.
