2016-022 Amend By-Law 2013-116, Provide a Schedule of Retention Periods for the Records of the Township of Oro-MedonteThe Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte By-law No. 2016-022 Being a By-law to Amend By -Law No. 2013-116, A By -Law to Provide a Schedule of Retention Periods for the Records of the Township of Oro-Medonte Whereas Section 255 of the Municipal Act 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, as amended, provides that a municipality may, subject to the approval of the municipal auditor, establish retention periods during which the records of the municipality and local boards of the municipality must be retained and preserved in accordance with Section 254 thereof; And Whereas the Township of Oro-Medonte did, on the 17th day of July 2013, enact By-law No. 2013-116, being a By-law to provide a schedule of retention periods for the records of the Township of Oro-Medonte under the authority of The Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, c. 25, as amended; And Whereas the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte deems it appropriate to amend By-law No. 2013-116; Now Therefore the Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte hereby enacts as follows: That the Scope Notes for Secondary Subject — P — Protection and Enforcement Services, of Schedule "A" to By-law No. 2013-116 be amended to add a new classification as follows; P01 A Provincial Offences Certificates Includes documents related to Provincial Offences Act (POA) such as Part I, Part II & Part III documentation, Notice of Impending Conviction (NIC), Certificate Requesting Conviction (CRC), Informations/Summons and records of payments received. 2. That the Records Retention Schedule for Primary Heading: P — Protection and Enforcement Services, of Schedule "B" of By-law No. 2013-116 be amended to add the following; Code Secondary Heading Retention Remarks P01 A Provincial Offences Certificates 7 3. And that this by-law shall come into force and take effect on the final passing thereof. By-law read a First, Second and Third time, and Passed this 2nd day of March, 2016.
