Public Meetings: a) Public Meeting for Proposed Amendment to the Zoning By -Law, 2015-ZBA-11, Concession 14, Part of Lot 6 (Medonte), Township of Oro-Medonte, 2028 Warminster Sideroad (Peter Strik). Item 6a), Consent Applications 2015-B-18, 2015-B-19 & 2015-B-20 by Peter Strik, 2028 Warminster Sideroad, Part Lot 6, Concession 14 (Medonte) was also dealt with at this time. Deputy Mayor Hough called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m. and explained the public meeting has been called in accordance with Sections 17, 22, 34, 53 and 54 of the Planning Act, to obtain public comment with respect to proposed Development Applications. Zoning By-law Amendment Application 2015-ZBA-11 (Strik) proposes to re -zone a portion of the subject lands from Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) Zone to a Residential 1 (R1) Zone. The effect of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to facilitate the creation of residential lots fronting on Warminster Sideroad. Notice of the Public Meeting was mailed to landowners within 120 metres of the specified site on December 17, 2015 and a notice sign was posted on the subject property on or before December 24, 2015. The following correspondence was received: Simcoe County District School Board dated December 22, 2015; Barry Rix received December 23, 2015. Derek Witlib, Manager, Planning Services explained the purpose and effect of the proposed amendment. A PowerPoint presentation was presented. Edward B. Veldboom, Russell, Christie, LLP, on behalf of applicant, presented an overview. The following public persons offered verbal comments with respect to the proposed amendment: Marko Harjupanula; Bert Dobson. Deputy Mayor Hough advised that no additional deputations to Council will be permitted with respect to the proposed amendment.
