Public Meetings: a) Notice of a Complete Application and Public Meeting for Proposed Amendment to the Zoning By -Law, Concession 1, Part of Lot 7 (Oro), Township of Oro-Medonte, 421 Penetanguishene Road, 2015-ZBA-13 (Jocelyn McArthur (Griffiths)). Deputy Mayor Hough called the meeting to order at 7:59 p.m. and explained the public meeting has been called under the authority of Section 34 of the Planning Act, to obtain public comment with respect to proposed Zoning By-law Amendment Application 2015- ZBA-13 (McArthur) which proposes to re -zone a portion of the subject lands from Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) Zone to an Agricultural/Rural Exception (A/RU*##) Zone to, in addition to the currently permitted uses in the A/RU Zone, permit on the lands the following uses: winery/cidery, tasting room, hospitality room, retail sales, tied room and special event facilities. Notice of the Public Meeting was mailed to landowners within 120 metres of the specified site on October 15, 2015 and a notice sign was posted on the subject property on October 16, 2015. The following correspondence was received: Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority dated October 30, 2015; County of Simcoe dated November 3, 2015; Simcoe County District School Board dated October 20, 2015. Andria Leigh, Director, Development Services, explained the purpose and effect of the proposed amendment. A PowerPoint presentation was presented. Gary Bell, Skelton Brumwell and Associates, on behalf of the applicant, provided an overview. A PowerPoint presentation was presented. The following public persons offered verbal comments with respect to the proposed amendment: Peter McArthur, Craig Flegel, Sandy Agnew. Deputy Mayor Hough advised that no additional deputations to Council will be permitted with respect to the proposed amendment.
