Adoption of Agenda: a) Motion to Adopt the Agenda. Motion No. HC150629-1 Moved by Thibeault, Seconded by O'Donnell It is recommended that the agenda for the Heritage Committee meeting of Monday, June 29, 2015 be received and adopted. Carried. 2. Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest: None disclosed. 3. Adoption of Minutes of Previous Meeting: a) Minutes of the Heritage Committee meeting held on Monday, May 25, 2015. Motion No. HC150629-2 Moved by Fountain, Seconded by Moore It is recommended that the draft minutes of the Heritage Committee meeting held on Monday, May 25, 2015 be received and adopted as printed and circulated. Motion No. HC150629-3 Moved by Whiston, Seconded by O'Donnell It is recommended that the verbal update from Roz Llewellyn, Coordinator, Community Recreation, re: Oro African Methodist Episcopal Church Building Task Force, be received. Carried. Motion No. HC150629-4 Moved by Fountain, Seconded by Thibeault Given the Local, Regional, Provincial, and National Significance of the Oro African Methodist Episcopal Church, that the Heritage Committee recommends to Council that: The Township be authorized to submit a funding application through the County of Simcoe's Historical/Cultural granting program, for resources to ensure the church can be opened and showcased to visitors Carried. b) Heritage Committee Work Plan. Motion No. HC150629-5 Moved by Moore, Seconded by O'Donnell It is recommended 1. That the 2013 Heritage Committee Work Plan be received. 2. That the Heritage Committee establishes the 2015-2018 Work Plan. 3. And That the 2015-2018 Work Plan be a recurring item on all Heritage Committee agendas for continuous updates. Carried. Motion No. HC150629-6 Moved by Moore, Seconded by Fountain It is recommended 1. That the verbal information presented by Roz Llewellyn, Coordinator, Community Recreation, re: Review of Municipally Owned and Maintained Cemeteries be received. 2. That the Heritage Committee recommends to Council that signage for municipally maintained cemeteries be considered in the 2016 budget deliberations. 3. And That staff be requested to provide an informational report on the maintenance of tombstones within municipally maintained cemeteries. Carried. d) Mayor H.S. Hughes, re: Heritage Tax Rebate Program. Motion No. HC150629-7 Moved by O'Donnell, Seconded by Whiston It is recommended 1. That the information presented by Mayor H.S. Hughes, re: Heritage Tax Rebate Program be received. 2. And That the Heritage Committee recommends to Council that the Simcoe County's Heritage Tax Rebate Program Policy be considered. Carried.
