A By -law to Appoint Representatives to the
Oro - Medonte Heritage Committee and to repeal By -Law No. 2013 -097
Whereas Section 224 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S. 0. 2001, c.25, as amended,
provides that the role of Council is to ensure that administrative practices are in place to
implement the decisions of Council.
And Whereas Council of the Township of Oro - Medonte appoints representatives to
various committees /organizations and technical support groups.
And Whereas Council of the Township of Oro - Medonte did, on February 13, 2013,
enact By -Law No. 2013 -017, "A By -law to Establish a Heritage Committee.
And Whereas the Council for The Corporation of the Township of Oro - Medonte
declared by Motion No. C1 50114-22, to appoint a Chair and Vice Chair to the Heritage
Committee.
Now Therefore the Council of the Township of Oro - Medonte hereby enacts as follows:
1. That the following members be appointed to the Heritage Committee.
• Councillor Scott Jermey (Chair)
• Councillor John Crawford (Vice Chair)
• Mayor H.S. Hughes (ex- officio)
2. That the appointments for Chair and Vice Chair outlined in (1) above be for the
2015 -2016 term.
3. That By -Law No. 2013 -097 is hereby repealed in its entirety.
4. And This by -law shall take effect on January 1, 2015.
