2014-ZBA-15 (Partridge)
Take notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public
Meeting on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 7:00 pm in the Municipal Council Chambers.
The purpose of the Public Meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed Amendment to the
Zoning By-law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13.
The purpose of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to amend the zoning of the lands
located at 1064 Line 5 North, Concession 5 East Part Lot 14 East Part Lot 15, formerly in the
Township of Oro, in the Township of Oro-Medonte.
The Amendment has been requested in order to comply with a condition imposed by the
Township's Committee of Adjustment with respect to Consent Application 2013-B-22. The
subject lands are presently zoned Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) and Environmental Protection (EP)
Zone. The [retained] portion of the lands presently zoned Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) is proposed
to be rezoned to a site-specific Agricultural/Rural Exception # (A/RU*#) Zone to prohibit
residential use. The [severed] portion of the lands presently zoned Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) is
proposed to be rezoned to a site-specific Agricultural/Rural Exception # (A/RU"#) Zone to
recognize a reduced lot area (1.52 hectares) for a hobby farm.
A key map illustrating the location of the subject lands, and a copy of the applicant's site plan
including the lands to be rezoned are included with this notice.
Any person may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in
support of, or in opposition to, the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an
appeal of a decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does
not make oral submission at the Public Meeting, or make written submissions to the Township
before the proposed Amendment is adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part
of the appeal.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect to the
proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below.

Thank you for circulating a copy of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment Application
for the above -noted property to this office. The applicants have applied to rezone the
retained portion of the property from the Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) Zone and the
Environmental Protection (EP) Zone to a site specific Agricultural/Rural Exception #
(A/RU*#) Zone to prohibit residential use. The severed portion of the lands presently
zoned Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) is proposed to be rezoned to a site specific

As the zoning amendments are conditions of the related provisional consent, Files 2013-13-23 and 2014-13-12 (farm
