And that Policy POL-HR-7.01, Code of Conduct be amended immediately by deleting
the following clause under Permitted Political Activity
Where an employee proposes to be a candidate to hold office as a member of Council,
he or she shall request and shall be granted a leave of absence without pay for a period
as specified under the Municipal Elections Act. If such employee is elected to office, he
or she shall immediately resign his or her positon with the Township.
And inserting the following clause to replace the clause being deleted under Permitted
Political Activity
Where an employee proposes to be a candidate in an election governed by the
Municipal Elections Act, the employee shall adhere to the requirements of the Act.

Are You on the List?
Notice is hereby given that the Voters List for the Corporation of the Township of
Oro-Medonte, for the Municipal Election to be held on Monday, October 27,

2014, will be made available on the 2 day of September, 2014 at the Township
of Oro-Medonte Administration Centre.
All qualified electors should confirm that their name appears on the list and that
all relevant information is correct. If an individuals citizenship has not been
confirmed as Canadian, their name will not appear on the Voters List. This does
not mean that these individuals will lose their right to vote. It does mean that
these individuals will be required to complete the prescribed Application for
Additions, Corrections or Deletions form to add themselves to the Voters List.
Individuals who have changed their address or have reached the eligible voting
age since 2010 may not be on the Voters List.
Application for additions, corrections or deletions with respect to the Voters List
commence September 2, 2014 and should be made at the Township
Administration Offices, 148 Line 7 South during regular business hours (8:30
a.m. 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday).
The last day to file an application to delete another persons name from the list is
Friday, September 12, 2014.

Comprehensive Stormwater Management Master Plan
Notice of Public Open House
The Township of Oro-Medonte has initiated a Comprehensive Stormwater Management
Master Plan (CSWM-MP) in compliance with the requirements of the Lake Simcoe
Protection Plan and the Guidelines developed for the implementation of the CSWM-MP
in the Lake Simcoe Watershed.
The primary goal of the CSWM-MP is to improve water quality in the Lake Simcoe
watershed by reducing phosphorous loadings. The study will identify ways to improve the
management of stormwater in the Township to achieve this goal through a detailed
analysis of existing conditions and evaluation of stormwater management alternatives.
A Public Open House Meeting will be held on:
Date: Thursday, September 18, 2014
Time: 4:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Location: Township Administration Centre

This meeting will provide an opportunity for the public and stakeholders to review the
alternatives under consideration and to provide input and comments.
Subsequent to the Public Open House, the Township will review the comments and
recommend a preferred alternative(s). Those individuals and parties that request to be
kept informed will be notified of the date that the preferred alternative(s) is presented to
General Committee such that there is the opportunity for deputations to the next
scheduled Council session, if required. Written comments and input are welcome and

Being a By-Law to Authorize the Execution of an Agreement Between the
Township of Oro-Medonte and
Mary Lynn Weinert to Allow for Two Dwellings
Whereas
the Municipal Act, 2001,S.O. 2001, c.25, Section 224, as amended, states
that it is the role of Council to ensure that administrative practices and procedures are in
place to implement the decisions of Council;
AndWhereas
the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte deems
it desirable to enter into an agreement for an 18 month period from the date of building
permit issuance, with Mary Lynn Weinert to temporarily reside in the existing dwelling
which will be demolished after the completion of the new dwelling at 41 Cahiague Road,
Part of Lot 10, Concession 14 North (Medonte), Township of Oro-Medonte.
Now Therefore
the Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte hereby enacts as follows:
That
1. the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute the Agreement attached
hereto as Schedule A and forming part of this By-Law;
This
2. by-law shall take effect on the final passing thereof.

Schedule A
to By-law No. 2014-_____ for
The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte
In consideration of receiving a building permit from the Township of Oro-
Medonte, I, Mary Lynn Weinert, of the Township of Oro-Medonte (formerly
Township of Medonte) in the County of Simcoe, covenant and agree as follows:
1. That I am the registered owner Part of Lot 10, Concession 14 North, Township of
Oro-Medonte (formerly Township of Medonte), being more particularly described
as 41 Cahiague Road (Roll No. 4346-020-004-18100).
2. That we have applied to the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-
Medonte for permission to temporarily reside in our existing dwelling on the
above-mentioned lands, at the same time as a new dwelling is under
construction on those same lands, wherein such procedure is not provided for
under the provisions of the Township of Oro-Medontes Zoning By-law as
amended.
3. That we hereby acknowledge that permission has been given by the Council of
the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte subject to the following
provisions:
a) That such permission is granted for the eighteen month period from
permit issuance or until completion of the proposed new dwelling,
whichever is the lesser period of time; and
b) That on completion of the new dwelling, as evidenced by a
Provisional Occupancy Certificate, the existing dwelling is to be
removed within one month to the satisfaction of the Townships
Chief Building Official; and
c) That application to the Township of Oro-Medonte for a temporary
use permit will be made forthwith (Fee $100).
4. That certified funds in the amount of $20,000.00 be retained by the Corporation
of the Township of Oro-Medonte until the above-mentioned conditions are
fulfilled to the sole satisfaction of the Township.
a) Failure to comply with the aforementioned conditions will result in
the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte redeeming the
certified funds at its sole discretion.
5. That we hereby agree to the terms and conditions set out above.
6. It is understood that failure to comply with the terms and conditions as set out
herein, shall release and save harmless the Corporation of the Township of Oro-
Medonte from pursuing such litigation, as may be necessary to secure
compliance or conformity with any applicable Municipal By-law or provincial
Regulation as may be provided for.
7. We hereby covenant and agree to indemnify and save harmless the Township of
Oro-Medonte from all costs, claims, liability and actions which may result or arise
from the issuance of the building permit or the entering into of this agreement.

Being a By-Law to Confirm the Proceedings of the Council Meeting held on
Wednesday, September 10, 2014
Whereas
Section 5 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, C. 25, as amended
provides that the powers of the Municipal Council shall be exercised by By-Law,
unless the municipality is specifically authorized to do otherwise;
And Whereas
The Council of The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte
deems it expedient that the proceedings at this Council Meeting be confirmed and
adopted by By-Law;
Now Therefore
the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte
hereby enacts as follows:
1. That the actions of the Council at its Council Meeting held on Wednesday,
September 10, 2014, and in respect to each Motion, Resolution and other
actions passed and taken by the Council at its said Meeting is, except where
prior approval of the Ontario Municipal Board is required, hereby adopted,
ratified and confirmed.
2. That the Mayor and the proper Officials of the Township are hereby authorized
and directed to do all things necessary to give effect to the said action or to
obtain approvals where required and to execute all documents as may be
necessary on behalf of the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-
Medonte.
3. That the Mayor/Chair and Clerk/Designate are hereby authorized and directed to
execute and affix the corporate seal to all necessary documents.
4. And That this by-law shall come into force and take effect on the final passing
thereof.
