FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENT
TO THE ZONING BY-LAW
OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a
Public Meeting on Wednesday July 16, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Municipal Council Chambers. The
purpose of the Public Meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed Amendment to the
Zoning By-law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c, P. 13.
THE PURPOSE of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to amend the zoning of the lands
located at 1991 Line 9 North and described as Concession 10 Part of lot 8, formerly in the
Township of Oro, in the Township of Oro-Medonte. The subject lands are proposed to be rezoned
from Private Recreational Exception 125 Hold (PR *125) (H) Zone to a Rural Residential 2 Zone
(RUR2) and an Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) Zone. Also to Amend the Mineral Aggregate Resource
One Exception One Hundred Twenty-six (MAR*126) (H) Zone and the Mineral Aggregate
Resource One Exception One Hundred Twenty-seven (MAR*127) (H) Zone to remove provisions
related the development of an adjacent golf course.
The rezoning is required as a condition of Consent Application 2013-B-1.8.
A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands, and a copy of the applicant's site plan
including the lands to be rezoned are included with this notice.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in
support of, or in opposition to, the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an
appeal of a decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does
not make oral submission at the Public Meeting, or make written submissions to the Township before
the proposed Amendment is adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the
appeal.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect to the proposed
Zoning By-law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below.
