TAKE NOTVC E that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a
Public Meeting on Wednesday, (March 12, 2014 at 7:00 pm in the Municipal Council Chambers.
The purpose of the Public (Meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed Amendment to the
Zoning By-law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13.
THE PURPOSE of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to amend the zoning of the lands
described as Concession 9, East Part of Lot 11 (Oro), Township of Oro-Medonte. The Subject
Lands are currently zoned Rural Residential Two (RUR2) and the proposed Amendment would
rezone the lands to Agricultural/Rural (A/RU). The Amendment has been requested in order to
comply with condition imposed by the Township's Committee of Adjustment with respect to
Consent Application 2013-B-07.
A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is included with this notice.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in
support of, or in opposition to, the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an
appeal of a decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does
not make oral submission at the Public Meeting, or make written submissions to the Township before
the proposed Amendment is adopted, the Ontario (Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the
appeal.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect to the proposed
Zoning By-law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below.

Thank you for circulating a copy of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment Application
for the above -noted property to this office. The applicant has applied to .rezone the
property to Agricultural/Rural (A/RU). The amendment has been requested in order to
comply with a condition imposed by the Township's Committee of Adjustment with
respect to Consent Application 2013-B-07.currently zoned Environmental Protection
(EP), which prohibits the construction of a dwelling, to Rural Residential 2 Exception
Zone (RUR2*) to permit a single detached dwelling.
Elementary students residing in this area may attend Guthrie Public School and
secondary students will be bussed to Twin Lakes Secondary School.

Thank you for circulating the above -noted application to the County of Simcoe for review and
comment. County Transportation and Engineering Department staff provides the following
comments:
The County's Road Setback By-law No. 5604 prohibits the construction of permanent dwellings
or structures within 15 metres of the limit of County Road right-of-way. The County is
requesting that the following zoning provision be added to this site specific zoning by-law
amendment:
"No permanent buildings or structures shall be located or installed within 15
metres of the limit of County Road No. 11 right-of-way, unless an exception to this
requirement has been approved in writing by the County of Simcoe, in accordance
with the County Road Setback By-law".
Please provide the County with a copy of any decision relating to the approval of the zoning by-
law amendment If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
