NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENT
TO THE ZONING BY -LAW
OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO- MEDONTE

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro - Medonte will hold a Public
Meeting on Monday August 26, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the
Public Meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed Amendment to the Zoning By -law, under
Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13.
THE PURPOSE of the proposed Zoning By -law Amendment is to amend the zoning of the lands
described as East Part of Lot 12, Concession 11, formerly in the Township of Oro, municipally known as
1400 Line 11 North, in the Township of Oro - Medonte. The subject lands are presently zoned
Agricultural /Rural (A/RU) Zone. A portion of the lands presently zoned Agricultural /Rural (A/RU) is
proposed to be rezoned to a site - specific Agricultural /Rural (A/RU) Zone to prohibit a residential use.
This application is required as a Condition of Consent Application 2013 -B -03 approved by the Committee
of Adjustment in March 2013.
A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support
of, or in opposition to, the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision
of the Township of Oro - Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at
the Public Meeting, or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment is
adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro - Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning
By -law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below.

Township's Zoning By -law 97 -95, as amended. The proposed
Zoning By -law Amendment would apply to lands described as
Concession 11, East Part of Lot 12, municipally known as 1400
Line 11 North (former Township of Oro). Application 2013 -
ZBA-15 is required to satisfy a condition of Consent
Application 2013 -B -03 approved by the Committee of
Adjustment in March 2013.

• The severed lot which contains the existing dwelling has a
frontage of approximately 47.8 metres (157 feet) on Line 11
North and occupies an area of approximately 0.6 hectares
(1.5 acres.
• The retained farm land has combined frontages of
approximately 564 metres (1851 feet) along Line 11 North
and occupies an area of approximately 39.8 hectares (98.5
acres). The lands do not contain any buildings and are
actively farmed.
