The purpose of the Public Meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed Amendment to the Zoning By -law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13. THE PURPOSE of the proposed Zoning By -law Amendment is to amend the zoning of the lands described as Part of Lot 1, Concession 14, formerly in the Township of Medonte, municipally known as 9110 Highway 12 West, located on the north -west corner of the intersection of Highway 12 West and Horseshoe Valley Road (County Road 22), in the Township of Oro- Medonte. The subject lands are presently zoned General Commercial (GC) Zone and Residential One (R1) Zone. It is proposed that the portion of the lands presently zoned Residential One (R1) be rezoned to a General Commercial (GC) Zone for the purposes of continued commercial use. A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of, or in opposition to, the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Township of Oro - Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the Public Meeting, or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment is adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
