BY-LAW NO. 94-69
Being a By-Law to Appoint a Canada Day Committee
WHEREAS the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter M.45, Section 102
provides for the Appointments of Local Boards and Committees;
AND WHEREAS the Township of Oro-Medonte wishes to appoint a Canada
Day Committee;
NOW THEREFORE the Council for The Corporation of the Township of
Oro-Medonte hereby enacts as follows:
1.
That the persons named on Schedule "A" attached hereto and
forming part of this By-law shall be responsible for the
planning and operation of the activites of Canada Day.
That the Citizen of the Year will be a member(s) of the Canada
Day Committee in the year following their nomination and
thereafter until such time as their successor(s) are
appointed.
That the Budget and Expenses that may be incurred by the said
Committee shall have prior approval of Council.

That a proposed budget of each Canada Day shall be submitted
prior to the end of February of each calendar year.
5. That each person named on Schedule "A" shall be covered under
the Municipality's Liability Insurance Program.

6. That By-Law No. 90-54 of the Township of Oro is hereby
repealed.
7. That this By-law shall be come into force and effect on its
final passing thereof.
