1996-015 Restrict the weight of vehicles passing over a bridge ~.~ l- CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE BY-LAW NO. 96-15 ng a By-Law to restrict the weight of vehicles passing over a 'dge in the Township of Oro-Medonte (Brough Creek South Bridge - dland Drive) REAS the Highway Traffic Act R.S.O. 1990, Chapter H.8, Section (2) may by by-law approved by the Ministry of Transportation it the gross vehicle weight of any vehicle or any class thereof sing over the bridge. WHEREAS Council deems it appropriate to limit the gross vehicle we ght passing over the bridge known as Brough Creek South Bridge on Woodland Drive (formerly Third concession). NO THEREFORE Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte enacts as fo lows: 1. That no vehicles or combination of vehicles or any class thereof whether empty or loaded, with a weight in excess of fourteen tonnes shall be operated over the bridge located 1.4 kilometres south of Highway 11B (Memorial Avenue) on Woodland Drive, in the Township of Oro-Medonte. 2. That any person violating the provision of this By-law shall be subject to the penalties provided in section 125 of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8. 3. That this by-law shall not become effective until notice of the limit of weight permitted in compliance with the regulations under the Highway Traffice Act has been posted in a conspicuous place at each end of the bridge, and until approved by the Ministry of Transportation.
