Deputy Mayor Hough called the meeting to order and explained the public meeting has
been called under the authority of the Planning Act, Sections 34 and 51, R.S.O. 1990 c.
P.13, to obtain public comment with respect to a proposed Amendment to the Zoning
By -law, Application 2013 - ZBA -01, and with respect to a proposed Draft Plan of
Subdivision, Application 2013 - SUB -01 (2150505 Ontario Inc.), Part of Lot 5,
Concessions 3 and 4, Township of Oro - Medonte.

Notice of the Public Meeting was mailed to landowners within 120m (400 feet) of the
specified site on February 28, 2013 and a sign posted on the subject property on
February 28, 2013.
The following correspondence was received at the meeting: Union Gas Ltd. dated
March 14, 2013; Ministry of the Environment dated March 4, 2013; Simcoe County
District School Board dated February 4, 2013; Nottawasaga Valley Conservation
Authority dated March 11, 2013; County of Simcoe dated March 15, 2013.
Andria Leigh, Director of Development Services, explained the purpose and effect of the
proposed amendment. A PowerPoint presentation was presented.
Brandi Clement, Jones Consulting Group, on behalf of the applicant, presented an
overview. A PowerPoint presentation was presented.
The following public persons offered verbal comments with respect to the proposed
amendment: Peter Osachuk; Peter Klein, Guenther Wellnhofer, Linda Stringer, Helen
MacRae, Ira Kagan, Garth Daniels, Gord Roehner, Ron Suwala, Allan Baker, Kevin
Miyauchi, Gord Lavery, Tony Windsor, Sandy Agnew, Gary Hadley, Ann Budge.
Deputy Mayor Hough advised that written submissions will be received at the Township
office until April 4, 2013 and that no additional deputations to Council will be permitted
with respect to the proposed amendment.
