NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENT
TO THE ZONING BY -LAW
OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO- MEDONTE

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro - Medonte will hold a Public
Meeting on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of
the Public Meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed Amendment to the Zoning By -law, under
Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13.
THE PURPOSE of the proposed Zoning By -law Amendment is to amend the zoning of the lands
described as Concession 3, Part Lot 22, municipally known as 6208 Line 3 North, located on the west of
Line 3 North, in the Township of Oro - Medonte. The subject lands are presently zoned Agricultural /Rural
(A/RU) Zone, and are proposed to be rezoned to a site- specific Agricultural /Rural (A/RU) Zone to prohibit
a residential use (single detached dwelling), and to recognize a lot size for a hobby farm of 0.76 hectares
(1.9 acres), and to recognize a rear lot line setback to an existing outbuilding of 6.1 metres (20.0 feet).
This application is required as a Condition of Consent Application 2013 -6-01 approved by the Committee
of Adjustment in February 2013.
A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support
of, or in opposition to, the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision
of the Township of Oro - Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at
the Public Meeting, or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment is
adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro - Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning
By -law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below.

o Purpose of Meeting - To obtain public comments on a

97 -95, as amended. The proposed Zoning By -law

lands with a rear lot line setback of 6.1 metres (20.0 feet)
and a lot area of 0.76 hectares (1.9 acres) as a hobby farm.
