THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE
BY-LAW NO. 96- 71
Being a By-Law to allow a Temporary Use to permit a Country Craft
and Music Festival on certain lands described as Part of Lots 21
and 22, Concession 8 (formerly Oro), under sections 34 and 39 of
The Planning Act, as amended.
WHEREAS an application has been submitted to the Township of Oro-
Medonte to establish a temporary use;
AND WHEREAS the Official Plan of the Township of Oro contains
certain policies which allow for the establishment of temporary
uses;
AND WHEREAS section 39 of The Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 as amended,
in accordance with Section 34, provides the authority to establish
temporary uses;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF
ORO-MEDONTE ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Notwithstanding the permitted uses of By-law 1031 as they
apply to the lands described as Part of Lots 21 and 22,
Concession 8, as shown in Schedule "A" attached hereto, these
lands may be used for a Country Craft and Music Festival for
a period of three to five days. This festival would include
such events as the display and sale of arts and crafts and
collectibles, country music performances, pony rides, and
other children's events.
2. Schedule "A", attached, forms part of this By-law.
3. This by-law is enacted by Council and in accordance with The
Planning Act, will take effect from the date of passing of the
By-law, and is hereby repealed 3 years from the date of
passing of this by-law.
