THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE
BY-LA W NO. 96- 75
Being a By-law to allow a Temporary Use to allow for the
conversion of an existing dwelling at the Hardwood Hills Cross
County Skiing and Mountain Bike Centre to 5 accommodation
units on certain lands described as Part of the East 1/2 of Lot 11,
Concession 6, former Township of Oro, now in the Township of
Oro-Medonte, under Sections 34 and 39 of the Planning Act, RSO
1990, Chapter P.13, as amended.
WHEREAS an application has been submitted to the Township of Oro-Medonte to establish a
temporary use;
AND WHEREAS the Official Plan of the Township of Oro contains certain policies which
allow for the establishment of temporary uses;
AND WHEREAS Section 39 of the Planning Act, RSO 1990, Chapter P.13, as amended, in
accordance with Section 34, provides the authority to establish temporary uses;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF
ORO-MEDONTE ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Notwithstanding the pennitted uses in Section 3 of By-law 1992-69, which amended
By-law 1031, as they apply to the lands described as Part of the East 1/2 of Lot 11,
Concession 6, fonner Township of Oro, now in the Township of Oro-Medonte, being
Part 1 of Reference Plan 51R-7075 and as shown on Schedule "A" attached hereto,
these lands may be used for a maximum of 5 accommodation units located within the
existing dwelling on the property.
For the purposes of this by-law, accommodation unit refers to an individual rental unit
used or maintained for the accommodation of the travelling or vacationing public, in
which the owner supplies lodging with or without meals for the persons so
accommodated.
2. Schedule "A", attached, fonns part of this By-law.
3. This by-law is enacted by Council and, in accordance with The Planning Act, will take
effect from the date of passing of the By-law, and is for a period of three (3) years
from the date of passing of this By-law.
