BY -LAW NO. 2012 -153
A By -law to amend the zoning provisions
On lands described as follows:
Concession 3, East Part of Lot 28, 1753 Ridge Road West
Township of Oro - Medonte, County of Simcoe
Roll # 4346- 020 - 007 -21400
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro - Medonte is
empowered to pass By -laws to regulate the use of land pursuant to Section 34 of the
Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13.
AND WHEREAS Council deems it appropriate to rezone the subject lands, in
accordance with Sections C2 and C5 of the Official Plan;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro - Medonte
enacts as follows:
Schedule 'A2' to Zoning By -law 97 -95, as amended, is hereby further amended by
changing the zone symbol applying to the lands being Concession 3, East Part of
Lot 28, 1753 Ridge Road West, in the former geographic Township of Oro, now in
the Township of Oro - Medonte, from the Agricultural /Rural (A /RU) and Shoreline
Residential (SR) Zones to the Agricultural /Rural (A /RU) and Shoreline Residential
Exception 215 Holding (SR *215(H)) Zone as shown on Schedule 'A' attached hereto
and forming part of this By -law.
2. Section 7 — Exceptions to Zoning By -law as amended is hereby further amended by
the addition of the following subsection:
"7.215 *215 — EAST PART OF LOT 28, CONCESSION 3, MUNICIPALLY KNOWN
AS 1753 RIDGE ROAD WEST (FORMER ORO)
"Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 5.6 (g) a maxmimum height of
6.84 metres is permitted for such portion of the boathouse whose floor area
does not exceed 44.1 square metres on the lands denoted by the symbol
*215, as shown on the schedules to this By -law.
3. The portion of the lands zoned shoreline Residential Exception 215 (SR *215) shall
be subject to a Holding (H) Provision in accordance with Section 2.5 of By -law 97-
95, as amended. The Holding Provision shall be applied to the construction of a
boathouse and shall not be removed until a Site Plan Agreement that is satisfactory
to Council has been entered into.
4, This By -law shall come into effect upon the date of passage hereof, subject to the
provisions of the Planning Act, as amended.
