THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE
BY-LAW NO. 98-81
Being a By-law to amend By-law No. 91-91, The Oro Development
Charges By-law, as amended.
.
WHEREAS Section 62(3) of the new Development Charges Act (Bill 98) permits a
municipality to amend a Development Charges By-law in accordance with Section 7 of
The Development Charges Act (1989);
AND WHEREAS the approval of the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing is not
required for an Amendment to a Development Charges By-law that has the sole
purpose of reducing the amount of the Development Charge in accordance with Section
7 of the Development Charges Act (1989) as amended by Bill 20;
AND WHEREAS Council deems it appropriate to reduce the amount of the
Development Charge pending the completion of a new Township-wide Development
Charges Study and By-law in accordance with the provisions of the new Development
Charges Act (Bill 98);
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte
enacts as follows:
1. Schedule "A" to By-law 91-91 is hereby deleted and replaced with a new
Schedule "A" as shown below:

$2,664.00 per unit
An additional Development Charge of $3,630.00 per dwelling unit is payable in the
municipal water service areas of Shanty Bay and Hawkestone,
