THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE

Being a By-law to accept and dedicate for nse as a public highway certain lands within the
Township of Oro-Medonte
.
WHEREAS the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.M.45, Section 191(1) authorizes the Council ofa
municipality to pass by-laws for acquiring any lands required for the purposes of the
municipality;
AND WHEREAS Section 297(1) of the said Municipal Act, provides for the establishing of
highways;
AND WHEREAS Council deems it expedient to acquire the hereinafter described lands and to
dedicate a portion of the lands for use as a public highway;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the Township ofOro-Medonte hereby
enacts as follows:
1. That the acquisition of the lands described as follows be and is hereby authorized and
approved:
a) Line 3 North from Horseshoe Valley Road to Highway II;
b) Line 3 South from Highway 11 to Ridge Road West; and
c) Line 7 South from Highway 11 to Lake Simcoe.
2. That upon the completion of the transfer to The Corporation of the Township ofOro-
Medonte of the lands described in Paragraph I above shall be deemed to be dedicated for
use as public highways.
3. That the Mayor and Clerk be and are hereby authorized to execute all such
documentation as may be required to give effect to the foregoing.
4. That this By-law shall come into force and effect on the date of its passing.
By-law read a first and second time this 21 ,t day of Jnly, 1999.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 21't day of July, 1999.
