NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENT

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro- Medonte will hold a Public
Meeting on Wednesday, October 1;2 2011, at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. - The purpose
of the Public Meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed Amendment to the Official Plan, under
Section 22 of the Planning Act, R.S.Q 1990 c. P. 13.
THE - PURPOSE of the proposed Official Plan Amendment is to amend the designation of the lands
described as Plan 51 ,,R- 37934, Parts 1, 2, 3, 7, 8 9, 12, and 13, located on the north and south sides of
Ingram Road in between Line 3 North and Line 4 North in the Township of Oro - Medonte. The subject
lands are proposed to be redesignated from Major Open Space to .Rural, to permit their use for
residential 'purposes.
A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or matte written or verbal representation either in support
of, or in opposition to, the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body tat files an appeal of a, decision
of the Township of Oro- Medohte in respect 'of the proposed Amendment does not make. oral submission at
the Public Meeting, or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment is
adopted, the Ontario Municipal' Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of OroWedonte in respect to the [proposed Official
Plan Amendment, you must make-a written request to the address below.

Further to your circulation dated September 22, 2011, we have reviewed the above noted
submission in accordance with the requirements under the Ministry's Public Transportation and
Highway Improvement Act and our comments are as follow:
We have no objection in principle to the proposed Official Plan Amendment; however, the
applicant should be aware that subject site is located within our permit control area and as
a result, any proposed development or changes to the site, including any new permanent
buildings for both above and below ground requires ministry review and approval. In
addition, an MTO Building and Land Use Permit is required prior to the start of construction.
• As part of our permit review process, the proponent will be required to submit a full -scale
(1:500) site plan, a survey plan, separate site grading and site servicing plans. We require
these plans as a minimum for detail design stormwater management submissions. All plans
must be stamped and signed by the professional engineer.
• All above and below grade structure /facilities vital to the site must be located beyond the
ministry's 14m setback limit from the ministry's property limits. The highway, ROW and
setback must be clearly indicated on the plans.
• All access to the subject land will be restricted only via the municipal road system being
Ingram Road. Access to the Highway 400 will not be permitted now or in the future.
• Sign permits are also required for any visible signing within 400m from Hwy 400 property
limits.
