The purpose of the Public Meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed Amendment to the Zoning By- law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13. THE PURPOSE of the proposed Zoning By -law Amendment is to amend the zoning of lands described as Concession 13, East Part Lot 5, Draft Plan of Subdivision 43T- 90082, in the Township of Oro - Medonte. The subject lands are presently zoned Agricultural /Rural (A/RU) Zone and Agricultural /Rural Exception 15 (A/RU *15) Zone, in the Township's Zoning By -law 97 -95, and are proposed to be rezoned to a Residential One Exception (R1 * #) Zone. The applicant is requesting to change the Zoning By -law standard which requires a Minimum First Storey Floor Area of 90 square metres, and is proposing a minimum Floor Area of 90 square metres for all storeys of two- storey detached dwellings. The definitions of "first storey floor area"' and "floor area" 2 are provided below. A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Township of Oro- Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the Public Meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment is adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal. if you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro - Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning By -law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below.
