BY -LAW NO. 2011 -058
A By -law to Amend By -law No. 2010 -078, Being a By -law to Appoint
Municipal Law Enforcement Officers /Provincial Offences Officers
And
To Repeal By -law No. 2008 -126, Being a By -law to Appoint a
Chief Municipal Law Enforcement Officer
WHEREAS the Police Services Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter P. 15, Section 15, provides
the appointment of Municipal Law Enforcement Officers for the purpose of enforcing the
by -laws of a municipality;
AND WHEREAS the Municipal Act2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25, Section 224, as amended,
provides that the role of Council is to ensure that administrative practices are in place to
implement the decisions of Council;
AND WHEREAS Council of the Township of Oro - Medonte did, on the 28 day of April,
2010, enact By -law No. 2010 -078 to Appoint Municipal Law Enforcement
Officers /Provincial Offences Officers;
AND WHEREAS Council deems it necessary to amend Schedule "A" of By -law No.
2010 -078;
AND WHEREAS Council of the Township of Oro - Medonte did, on the 24 day of
September, 2008, enact By -law No. 2008 -126 to Appoint a Chief Municipal Law
Enforcement Officer;
AND WHEREAS Council deems it necessary to repeal By -law No. 2008 -126;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Township of Oro - Medonte hereby enacts as
follows:
That Schedule "A" to By -law No. 2010 -078 be amended by removing:
"Gary Skelding"
2. That By -law No. 2008 -126 is hereby repealed in its entirety.
3. This by -law shall take effect on the final passing thereof.
