Mayor Ian Beard assumed the chair and called the meeting to order. 1. Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest and General Nature Thereof - In Accordance with the Act: a) None declared: " Ii. . Motion No.1 Moved by McConnell, Seconded by Fountain e Be it resolved that the agenda for the Special Council Meeting dated Thursday, May 4, 2000 be adopted as printed and circulated. Carried. 2. Deputations: a) 7:10 p.m. Public Meeting with respect to Waterfront on Grandview, Plan 935, Lot 6 & Waterfront Adjacent to Memorial Park, Plan 1291, Block A, Restricted Parkland. Ms. Andria Leigh, Township Planner, provided an overview of the subject property and outlined the scope of the discussion area. Ms. Jennifer Zieleniewski, CAO, provided background information with respect to the reason for the discussion. Mr. Chris Williams, Aird & Berlis, Township Solicitor, provided a brief description and explanation regarding "restrictive parkland". Each available option was reviewed and described by Mr. Williams. The following people provided comments with respect to this matter: Kate Mcintyre, Debbie Garrett, Wally Leblanc, Robert Vieira, Steven Montgomery, Teresa Jasinski, George Hibrand, Ron McQuade, Christine Willey, Julie McKay, Craig Sewell, Christopher Jasinski, Jim Williams, Bridget O'Donoghue, Mark Edwards and Ann Martin. Motion No.2 Moved by Sommers, Seconded by Fountain Be it resolved that a By-law to confirm the proceedings of the Special Council Meeting held on Thursday, May 4, 2000 be introduced and read a first and second time and numbered By-law No. 2000-42. Carried. e That By-law No. 2000-42 be read a third time and finally passed, be engrossed by the Clerk, signed and sealed by the Mayor. Carried. Ii... :( r . e .
