It is recommended that the Statement of Accounts for the month of November, 2001
totaling $1,310,341.36 be received.

4. DEPUTATIONS:
a) Leo Luong, Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority, re: Health
Waters Program Co-ordinator.

It is recommended that the information provided by Leo Luong, Nottawasaga Valley
Conservation Authority, re: Healthy Waters Program and the request for support for
a Simcoe and Dufferin County Healthy Water Project be received and that the
Township of Oro-Medonte be included as a "Co-applicant" as set out in the proposal
prepared by the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority, and further that any
expenditures to be incurred be referred to the 2002 budget deliberations.

b) Keith Sherman, Severn Sound Environmental Association, re: North Simcoe
Municipal Groundwater Study, request for Township commitment.

It is recommended that the information provided by Keith Sherman, Severn Sound
Environmental Association, re: North Simcoe Municipal Groundwater Study (request
for a commitment) be received and that the estimated cost of $6,393.75 be
confirmed and expended in the 2002 budget deliberations.

c) Julie Scott, Innovative Perspectives, re: Parkland Secondary Study.

1. It is recommended that the Draft Parkland Secondary Study (December 12,
2001) be received; and
2. that comments be requested from Council, Staff and the Recreation Advisory
Committee with respect to the recommendations contained in the Draft Parkland
Secondary Study by January 16, 2002; and
3. that Council review the recommended and proposed amendments to the Draft
Parkland Secondary Study at the Committee of the Whole Meeting to be held on
January 23, 2002; and
4. that the Draft Parkland Secondary Study be prepared for public circulation by
February 5, 2002; and
5. that a Public Meeting regarding the Draft Parkland Secondary Study be held on
February 21, 2002, at 7:00 p.m. in the Township Council Chamber; and
6. that staff be authorized to advertise the circulation date and the date of the public
meeting.

It is recommended that the correspondence from Dennis Barkley re:
Warminster Santa Claus Parade, December 23, 2001 be received and that
Mr. Barkley be advised that restrictions for holding a parade (By-law No.
1999-41) be waived and that approval is granted to conduct the Warminster
Santa Claus Parade on December 23, 2001 (parade route starts at East
Warminster subdivision up Richelieu (Champlain) to Hwy. 12 (East), to Side
Road # 1, Warminster to West Warminster subdivision by the school, and
back to Warminster Hall).

services.

of Lot 55, Concession 1, EPR, former Township of Medonte (31 Mill Street
East, Hillsdale).

It is recommended that the Township of Oro-Medonte supports the
application by the Oro District Lions Club to the Molson Barrie Community
Fund for financial assistance toward improvement projects on the Oro-
Medonte Lake Country Railtrail.

It is recommended that staff develop, for the Council meeting of December
19, 2001, a strategy to determine a process for a public forum regarding
information, input and debate with respect to Council's options to regulate
smoking in Oro-Medonte.

d) Deputy Mayor Craig provided an update on County Council meeting of
December 11, 2001.
7. PUBLIC WORKS:
a) Report No. PWS2001-25, Jerry Ball, Public Works Superintendent, re: tender
results for Contract No. PWS2001-11, 2002 Model 1 0,000 lb., 4,536 kg.
G.vW. Crew Cab Chassis and Body.

It is recommended that Report No. PWS2001-25 by Jerry Ball, Public Works
Superintendent, re: tender results for Contract No. PWS2001-11 , 2002 Model
10,000 lb., 4,536 kg. G.VW. Crew Cab Chassis and Body be received and
adopted and that Contract PWS2001-11 from Tom Smith Chev-Olds in the
amount of $49,398.25 be accepted for the purchase of a 2002 model Crew
Cab Chassis and Body, with a gravel dump box, diesel motor and pintle hook,
and that the Public Works Superintendent advise Tom Smith Chev-Olds and
Jim Wilson Chevrolet Geo Oldsmobile accordingly.

8. PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT:

9. COMMUNITY SERVICE:
a) Oro-Medonte Recreation Advisory Committee minutes of meeting held on
Thursday, December 6, 2001.

Committee meeting held on Thursday, December 6, 2001 be received.

It is recommended that the Trail Advisory Committee proceed with the donors
signs using high quality paper, covered with Lexan and lamination and that
the locations of signage would include Shanty Bay, Oro Station and
Hawkestone, and further that an estimated cost of $1,000.00 be used to build
the signage on the trail, all to be implemented in the Spring of 2002.
