PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT Concession 12, part of Lots 8 and 9, and Concession 13, Part of lot 8 (Oro) Hillway Equipment Ltd. File # P-75/98 Present: Mayor Ian Beard Deputy Mayor Neil Craig Councillor Walter Dickie (arrived at 7:40 p.m.) Councillor Ralph Hough Councillor Paul Marshall Councillor Harry Hughes Councillor Ruth Fountain Staff Present: Jennifer Zieleniewski, CAO; Marilyn pennycook, Clerk; Andria Leigh, Township Planner Also Present: See Attachment "A" Mayor Beard called the meeting to order and advised that all persons present would be afforded the opportunity of asking questions in respect to this proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law with regard to Hillway Equipment Ltd., Concession 12, Part of Lots 8 and 9, and Concession 13, Part of Lot 8 (Oro). Refer to Attachment "B" for a list of correspondence received by the Township with respect to this matter. Ms. Andria Leigh, Township Planner, provided information as to the purpose and effect of this proposed amendment to rezone the lands described as Concession 12, Part of Lots 8 and 9 and Part of Lot 9, Concession 13 (formerly within the Township of OroO. The subject lands are proposed to be rezoned from the Mineral Aggregate Resource Two (MAR2) Zone to the Mineral Aggregate Resource One (MAR1) Zone. The subject property is to be used for an aggregate extraction operation. Mr. Gary Bell and Scott Brumwell (Brumwell & Associates) presented an update with respect to this amendment. . The following persons offered comments with respect to this proposed amendment: Dennis Sutton (Big Cedar Estates), Jim Whitford (former Ontario Naturalists, now Orillia Naturalists), Bruce Porter (President, Big Cedar Residents Association), Bill Soles (Big Cedar Estates), Nelson Robertson (Rugby), Don Hunt (Chair of Concerned Citizens of Rugby), Tracey Horne (Rugby), John Langman (Rugby), Harold Pailey (Big Cedar Estates), Howard Baker (Big Cedar Estates), Mary Robertson (Kingston, Ontario), Alan Baker (Jarratt Coulson Group).
