TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will
hold a Public Meeting on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal
Council Chambers. The purpose of the public meeting is to obtain public comments on a
proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O.
1990 c. P. 13.
THE PURPOSE of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the lands
described as Part Lot 15, Concession 1 (formerly Orillia Township) municipally known as
5219 Highway 11 North. The subject lands are proposed to be rezoned from the
Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) Zone to the General Commercial (GC) Zone. The applicant
was granted provisional consent for a boundary adjustment by the Committee of
Adjustment on May 21, 2009 (Consent Application 2009-B-13). The rezoning of the
subject lands was imposed as a condition of consent.
A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation
either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body
that files an appeal of a decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the
proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the public meeting or make written
submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment is adopted, the Ontario
Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect to the
proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address
below.

Thank you for circulating a copy of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment Application for
the above-noted property to this office. The applicant has applied to rezone the lot from the
Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) Zone to the General Commercial (GC) Zone, in order to fulfill a
condition of the granting of the consent (Consent Application 2009-B-13).
Elementary students residing in this area are bussed to Harriett Todd Public School and
secondary students will be bussed to Orillia Park Street Collegiate Institute.

Further to your circulation, dated August 24, 2009 the Ministry of Transportation has reviewed the above
noted applidetion and our comments are as fallow:
We have no objection in principle to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment; however, the applicant
should be aware that any proposed development of this land, including any new buildings, structure,
requires ministry review and approval. Ministry permits are required for all structures above and below
ground, located within 46m from our highway property limit or 396m radius from ministry intersection. As
well, all essential features relevant to the site must be located beyond the ministry's 14,Om setback limit.
Subsequent requests will require the applicant to submit to the Ministry of Transportation a site plan
(1;600), a survey plan, a lighting plan with units in LUX, trafflc Impact study, site servicing/grading plan
and a stormwater management report. All submitted reports and plans must be signed and stamped by a
professional engineer and provided in copies of four,
Sign permits are also required for any visible signing within 400m from the Highway 11 property limits.
Please advise the applicant that all inquires regarding permits and site plan review process must be
forwarded to Phil lannooito, Permit Officer for this area (416-235-4592).
