TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will
hold a Public Meeting on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal
Council Chambers. The purpose of the public meeting is to obtain public comments on a
proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O.
1990 c. P. 13.
THE PURPOSE of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone a portion of Original
Road allowance north of Lots 23 & 24 on Plan 985. The rezoning also includes 11~7
Poplar Crescent, legally known as Lot 23 on Plan 985, in the Township of Oro-Medonte
(formerly Oro). The subject land is part of the road allowance, which the Township has
determined is surplus. The lands are located on the east side of Poplar Crescent. As a road
allowance the subject lands are currently not zoned by the Zoning By-law, and are
proposed to be zoned Shoreline Residential Exception (SR*) Zone.
A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation
either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body
that files an appeal of a decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the
proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the public meeting or make written
submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment is adopted, the Ontario
Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect to the
proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address
below.

Thank you for circulating a copy of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment Application for
the above-noted property to this office. The applicant has applied to rezone a portion of an
unopened road allowance deemed surplus by the Township including 117 Poplar Crescent
to the Shoreline Residential Exception (SR*) Zone.
Elementary students residing in this area are bussed to East Oro Public School and
secondary students will be bussed to Orillia Park Street Collegiate Institute.
