Motion No. CW - 10 Moved by Bell, Seconded by Dickie It is recommended that the memorandum from Paul Eenhoorn, Fire Chief, dated September 12, 2002 re: Volunteer Search and Rescue Program (S.A.R.) be received; and that the Ramara Community Policing Committee be advised of Council's support in creating a Search and Rescue Team that could involve the Township of Oro- Medonte; and that the Ramara Community Policing Committee be also advised to liaise directly with Paul Eenhoorn, Fire Chief, Township of Oro-Medonte. Motion No. CW - 12 Moved by Hough, Seconded by Dickie It is recommended that the Report from Nick McDonald, Meridian Planning Consultants Inc., dated August 30, 2002 re: Private Members Bill 79 - Amendments to the Ontario Water Resources Act be received and that Leona Dombrowsky, MPP, Hastings- Frontenac-Lennox & Addington, as well as the Premier of Ontario, be advised of Council's support of Bill 79 - Ontario Water Resources Amendment Act to ensure notification of applications to take water to municipalities and conservation authorities; and that direct notification be given to affected residents through the public meeting process. Motion No. CW - 14 Moved by Fountain, Seconded by Hughes It is recommended that Report No. ADM2002-45, Harold Daynard, Manager of Information Technology, dated September 18, 2002 re: Administration Building Fax Machine be received and adopted; and that staff be authorized to enter into a three year lease agreement with Northern Business Machines for the Panasonic 890 Fax Machine as listed. Motion No. 15 Moved by Hughes, Seconded by Fountain Report No. PR2002-12 Chris Carter, Recreation Coordinator, dated September 24, 2002 re: Request to apply for funding with Landscape Ontario be received and adopted; and that Staff be authorized to submit an application form for "EXTRA" funding on Council's behalf to Landscape Ontario Horticultural Trades for the development of the joint Emergency Services Buildings on the 4th Line, Horseshoe Valley. Carried. g) Councillor Hughes, Recognition Committee - 2002 Heritage Community Recognition Program. Motion No. 16 Moved by Hughes, Seconded by Marshall It is recommended that Mary Garbutt's name be forwarded as a candidate for the Cultural Category of the 2002 Heritage Community Recognition Program on behalf of the Township of Oro-Medonte. Carried. 7 h) Mayor J. Neil Craig - Update re: County Council Mayor Craig informed the Committee of the release of "An Organizational Review of the County of Simcoe" with severed sections. PUBLIC WORKS Report No. PWS2002-11, Jerry Ball, Public Works Superintendent, dated September 24, 2002 re: Proposal - Drainage Repairs at 5th Line, North of Hwy. #11 -Azimuth Environmental Consulting Inc. Motion No. CW - 18 Moved by Marshall, Seconded by Hughes It is recommended that Report No. PWS2002-11, Jerry Ball, Public Works Superintendent, dated September 24, 2002 re: Proposal - Drainage Repairs at 5th Line North of Hwy. #11 - Azimuth Environmental Consulting Inc. be received and adopted; and that Council approves additional funds of $3,500 (plus applicable taxes) as an overrun to the 2002 Budget; and that Azimuth Environmental Consulting Inc. be notified of Council's decision. Carried. b) Deputy Mayor Dickie re: Request for Road Improvements Deputy Mayor Dickie requested that staff inspect the Mt. St. Louis Road from Hwy #400 westerly to the 6th Line. 8 PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT: Ron Kolbe, Director of Building/Planning Development, Licence to Occupy Agreement, OPP Extended Services Office/Community Meeting Room/Fire Hall 4th Line. Motion No. CW - 19 Moved by Marshall, Seconded by Fountain It is recommended that the Licence to Occupy Agreement, OPP Extended Services Office/Community Meeting Room/Fire Hall, 4th Line be received; and that the Clerk bring forward a By-law to authorize the Clerk and Mayor to execute the agreement. b) Carried.
