Motion No. CW-15 Moved by Bell, Seconded by Hough It is recommended that the correspondence from Helen Perry, Hawkestone, re: affordable housing be received and referred to staff for a response, and that a copy of the correspondence be forwarded to the County of Simcoe. Carried. 6. FINANCE, ADMINISTRATION AND FIRE a) Chris Carter, Recreation Co-ordinator, re: request from Ontario's Lake Country re: installation of TODS signage. Motion No. CW-16 Moved by Dickie, Seconded by Hough It is recommended that the information presented by Chris Carter, Recreation Co- ordinator, re: request from Ontario's Lake Country re: installation of TODS signage be received and that approval be given for the implementation of Lake Country area profile signs within the Township. Carried. b) Report No. ADM2002-46, Paul Gravelle, Treasurer, re: Council Expense Allowance. Motion No. CW-17 Moved by Dickie, Seconded by Hough It is recommended that Report No. ADM2002-46 by Paul Gravelle, Treasurer, re: Council Expense Allowance be received and adopted, and that Council resolve, pursuant to S.255(2) of the Municipal Act, its intention that one third of the remuneration paid to elected members of Council shall continue as expenses incident to the discharge of their duties as members of Council. Carried. 6 c) Correspondence dated August 7, 2002 from Frank Lawson re: Oro District Lions Club projects on the Oro-Medonte Lake Country Railtrail. Motion No. CW-18 Moved by Marshall, Seconded by Fountain It is recommended that the correspondence from Frank Lawson re: Lions Club projects on the Oro-Medonte Lake Country Railtrail dated August 7, 2002 be received and referred to staff for a report for Council consideration. PUBLIC WORKS: a) Report No. ES2002-52, Keith Mathieson, Director of Engineering and Environmental Services, re: Arbourwood Estates Subdivision, Phase II Certificate of Substantial Completion and Acceptance (Underground Works), Plan 51M-696. Motion No. CW-21 Moved by Bell, Seconded by Dickie It is recommended that Report No. ES2002-52 by Keith Mathieson, Director of Engineering and Environmental Services, re: Arbourwood Estates Subdivision, Phase II Certificate of Substantial Completion and Acceptance (Underground Works), Plan'51M- 696 be received and adopted, and that the Township issue the Certificate of Substantial Completion and Acceptance (Underground Works) for Phase II of the Arbourwood Estates subdivision dated September 25, 2002, and further that the appropriate by-law be brought forward for Council consideration. Carried. 8. PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT: a) Andria Leigh, Township Planner, response to Ministry of Natural Resources re: Jeffs purchase of filled lands. Motion No. CW-22 Moved by Dickie, Seconded by Bell It is recommended that the correspondence from David and Carol Jeffs re: requesting comments on the purchasing of filled lands, Lot 124, Plan 780, Concession 14 (Orillia) be received and that the Township of Oro-Medonte has no objection to the sale of the subject lands. Carried. 9. COMMUNITY SERVICE: Nil. 10. ENVIRONMENTAL TASK FORCE: Nil. 11. ADDENDUM: Items have been incorporated in the minutes. 12. Councillor Hughes declared an objection to the declaration of the Mayor per Township of Oro- Medonte Procedural By-law No. 95-44, Section 16b) and requested a recorded vote on the matter.
