2000-022 CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE BY-LAW NO. 2000-22 . Being a By-law to authorize the temporary closing of a Highway to vehicular traffic for to allow for recreational, community and cinematographic purposes (Line 11 N) WHEREAS Section 207(44), RS.O. 1990, Chapter M.4S, as amended allows Council to temporarily close a road to vehicular traffic for social, recreational, community, athletic or cinematographic purposes; AND WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Township ofOro-Medonte deems it expedient to do so; NOW THEREFORE, Council ofthe Township ofOro-Medonte enacts as follows: 1. That Line 11 North ftom the Lot Line between Lot 7 and Lot 8 north to Mount St. Louis Road more or less, being a distance of approximately 1.8 ki10metres, shall be closed on July 13th, 2000 during the hours of9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for recreational, community and cinematographic purposes due to activities associated with the 100th Anniversary of Sam Steele Raising Strathcona's Horse. 2. That every person without authority who uses a highway or portion thereof closed to traffic or who removes or defaces any barricade, device, detour sign or notice placed thereon is guilty of an offence and is liable to the municipality for any damage or injury occasioned by such wrongful use, removal or defacement. 3. That every person who violates any provision ofthis By-law, upon conviction, is guilty of an offence and shall be liable to a fine in an amount to be detennined pursuant to the Provincial Offences Act, RS.O. 1990, c.P33. 4. That this by-law shall come into force and effect on the date of passing thereof.
