TO THE ZONING BY-LAW
OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public
Meeting on Wednesday February 11, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The
purpose of the public meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-
law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13.
THE PURPOSE of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone a portion of the lands described as East
Part of Lot 15, Concession 11, in the Township of Oro-Medonte (formerly Oro). The subject lands are
proposed to be rezoned from the Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) Zone to the Residential One Hold (R1 *H)
Zone. The applicant was granted provisional consent to sever by the Committee of Adjustment on July
17, 2008 (Consent Application 2008-B-24 to 2008-6-31). The rezoning of the subject lands was imposed
as a condition of consent.
A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in
support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a
decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral
submission at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed
Amendment is adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning
By-law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below.

Thank you for circulating a copy of the proposed Zoning By -law Amendment Application for
the above -noted property to this office. The applicant has been granted consent to create
seven (7) new residential lots proposed to front on the 15/16 Sideroad in the settlement of
East Oro.. The applicant has applied to rezone the new lot from the Agricultural /Rural (A/RU)
Zone to the Residential One Hold (R1 *H) Zone, in order to fulfill a condition of the granting of
the consent (Consent Application 2008 -13-24 to 2008- B -31).
Planning staff do not object to this rezoning application. Elementary students residing in this
area are bussed to East Oro Public School and secondary students will be bussed to Orillia
Park Street Collegiate Institute.
