THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE BY-LAW NO. 2000- 36 Being a By-law to authorize the sale of surplus land to Wesley Albert Shaw - Part 1 on Plan 51R-28501, Township ofOro-Medonte (Geographic Township ofOro) WHEREAS Council passed By-law No. 99-61 on the 16th day of June, 1999, being a By-law [0 stop up, close and sell part of the original road allowance between Lots 15 and 16, Concession 10 (Geographic Township ofOro), Township ofOro-Medonte, County of Simcoe, designated as Parts 1 and 2, Plan 51R-28501; AND WHEREAS pursuant to Paragraph 5 of By-law 99-61, the Clerk ofthe Township gave written notice to the owners of lands abutting the said road allowance, advising them of their right to purchase their respective portions of the road allowance as closed; AND WHEREAS the owner of abutting lands described as the west half of Lot 15, Concession 10 (Geographic Township of Oro), Township of Oro-Medonte, did not exercise her right to acquire that portion of the closed road allowance abutting her lands and described as Part 1 on Plan 51R-28501 within the 30 day period prescribed in Section 5 of By-law No. 99-61; AND WHEREAS pursuant to Subsection 315(3) ofthe Municipal Act and Section 5 ofDy-Ja'y\, 99-61, where an abutting owner has failed to exercise their right to purchase their respective portion of road allowance as closed within the period affixed by by-law, the Municipality may sell the land that the person had the right to purchase to any other person at a price as set by by- law or at a greater price; NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the Township ofOro-Medonte hereby enacts as follows: 1. Council does hereby authorize the sale of the lands described as part of the original road allowance between Lots 15 and 16, Concession 10 (Geographic Township ofOro), Township ofOro-Medonte, County of Simcoe, designated as Part 1 on Plan 51R-28501 to Wesley Albert Shaw. 2. Sale Price In accordance with Section 315 ofthe said Municipal Act, Council hereby sets the sale price for the lands described in paragraph 1 above to be the consideration of $2,400.00. 3. Execution of Documents The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to sign all documents required to caITY out the intent ofthis by-law. . . ~ .. ..
