THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE BY-LAW NO. 2000- 38 Being a By-law to establish Committees for the administrative functions of pu bUe Commnnity Halls WHEREAS Section 102 ofthe Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chap. M.45, as amended provides that every council may pass such by-laws and make such regulations for the health, safety, morality and welfare ofthe inhabitants of the municipality; AND WHEREAS Section 102(1) provides that the council of a municipality may, by by-law, delegate to a committee of councilor to an employee of the municipality any powers, duties or functions that are administrative in nature. AND WHEREAS the volunteer Community Hall Committees have managed the day to day operations of the public Community Halls; AND WHEREAS the volunteer Community Hall Committees have submitted on a yearly basis, budget estimates for Council's consideration; AND WHEREAS Council deems it appropriate to fonnally establish and delegate to the volunteer Community Hall Committees the related management duties and functions of (he Township of Oro-Medonte Community Halls; NOW THEREFORE Council ofthe Township ofOro-Medonte hereby enacts as follows: 1. That Edgar Community Hall, Jarratt Community Hall, Hawkestone Community Hall, Wanninster Community Hall, Carley Community Hall, Eady Community Hall, Craighurst Community Hall, Shanty Bay Community Hall and Moonstone District Parks and Recreation Committee shall be established as volunteer Committees of Council. 2. That the aforementioned committees shall be delegated the day to day management duties and functions of a Community Hall Committee as established by Council. 3. That budget estimates for Council consideration shall be submitted yearly by December 15th. 4. That monthly revenues shall be remitted to the Township of Oro-Medonte by the fifth day of the following month. 5. That expenditures shall be made only with the authorization of Council. 6. That established policies ofthe Council of the Township ofOro-Medonte with respect (i. the operation of Community Halls shall be adhered to unless prior authorization has becl, obtained. 7. That the officers of the aforementioned committees, elected yearly at the mmual general meeting shall be recognized yearly by Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte at a regular meeting of Council. 8.
