2000-050 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE BY -LAW NO. 2000-50 e Being a By-law to convey part of Lot 15 and Part of the East Half of Lot 16, Concession 8, in the Township of Oro-Medonte, County of Simcoe, designated as Part 3 on Plan 51 R-23810 WHEREAS section 316 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O.1990, chapter MA5, as amended, clearly states that; Where a highway for the site of which compensation was not paid has been laid out and opened in the place of the whole or any part of an original allowance for road, the owner of the land appropriated for the highway or a successor in title, if that person owns the land that abuts on such allowance, is entitled to the soil and freehold of it and, to a conveyance of it; AND WHEREAS the Township of Oro-Medonte has laid out and opened a deviation road in place of part of the original allowance for road, of which compensation was not paid; AND WHEREAS Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte deems it expedient to convey, part of Lot 15 and Part of the East Half of Lot 16, Concession 8, in the Township of Oro-Medonte, County of Simcoe, designated as Part 3 on Plan 51R-23810; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Township of Oro-Medonte hereby enacts as follows: 1. That the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the Transfer/Deed of Land on behalf of the Corporation and affix thereto the Corporate Seal. 2. That this By-law shall come into force and take effect on the final passing thereof. By-law read a first and second time this 7th day of June, 2000.
