TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro - Medonte will hold a Public
Meeting on Monday October 27, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of
the public meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Official Plan and the
Zoning By -law, under Section 17 and 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 C. P. 13.
THE PURPOSE of the Official Plan Amendment (2008- OPA -02) and-Zoning Amendment (2008 - ZBA -10)
applications is to consider the development of the subject lands for future low density residential
purposes. The Official Plan Amendment proposes to re- designate the subject lands from Horseshoe
Valley — Medium Density Residential to Horseshoe Valley — Low Density Residential. Further, the
applicant has applied for a Zoning Amendment to rezone the subject lands from Agricultural /Rural
Exception 15 (A/RU`15) to Residential One Exception (R1") Zone. Four residential lots are proposed by
the above noted applications. The lands are located at Lot 1, Concession 5, Township of Oro - Medonte
(formerly Oro), on the south side of Horseshoe Valley Road and west of Line 4.
A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and /or make written or verbal representation either in
support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a
decision of the Township of Oro - Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral
submission at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed
Amendment is adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro - Medonte in respect to the proposed Official
Plan Amendment and /or Zoning By -law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address
below.

Thank you for circulating notification of the Public Meeting for the proposed Official Plan
Amendment and Zoning By -law Amendment for the above -noted property to this office. The
amendments propose to redesignate and rezone the property from the Horseshoe Valley -
Medium Density Residential to the Horseshoe Valley - Low Density Residential designation and to
rezone from the Agricultural /Rural Exception 15 (A/RU *15) to the Residential One Exception (R1 *)
Zone to facilitate the creation of four (4) new residential lots.
Elementary students residing in this area may attend W.R. Best Memorial Public School and
secondary students will be bussed to Eastview Secondary School.
