10 22 2008-2008-ZBA-12 (Township of Oro-Medonte) AgendaAMENDED NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING BY -LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO- MEDONTE 2008 - ZBA -12 (Township of Oro- Medonte) TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro - Medonte will hold a Public Meeting on Wednesday October 22, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the public meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By -law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13. THE PURPOSE of the Zoning By -law Amendment is to rezone the lands described as Part of Block 104, Plan M -368, Part of Lot 3, Concession 7, Township of Oro - Medonte, located on the west side of Line 6 North, south of Sugarbush Road. The application is to amend the Zoning By -law in order to change the zoning of the lands from Private Recreational Exception 114 (PR *114) Zone to Residential One (R1) Zone for future residential purposes. A REVISED KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and /or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Township of Oro - Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment is adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal. If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro - Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning By -law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below. We live across the road from this and are very concerned as to have this change and effect the homes on Monica Court backing onto Line 6. Main concern is to have more homes built in Sugar Bush with on ONE entrance and exit. We would be surprised is this is allowed in any new subdivision and do not understand why this hasn't corrected in this one. We know a second exit/entrance was being done onto Line 7, not that is not assumed by the township and is now stopped. IWe would like to seen this and the main entrance to Sugar Bush fixed before and more houses are allowed to be built in this area. This is a very serious concern to us.
