10 08 2008-2008-ZBA-08 (Joe Jollie) Public AgendaNOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING - FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENT ' TO THE ZONING BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE 2o0s-zgA-o~ (Joe Joli TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public Meeting on Wednesday October 8, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the public meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.0.1990 c. P. 13. THE PURPOSE of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the lands described as Part of Lot 10, Concession 5, Township of Oro-Medonte, located west of tine 5 North, on the south side of Mount Sain Louis Road West. The applicant has made an application to amend the Zoning By-law in order to change the zoning of the lands from Waste Disposal (W D) Zane to Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) Zone in order to create a building lot for the development of one residential dwelling. A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is prouided below. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either i~ support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of 4, decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does riot make oral submission at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment is adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal. If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below. Public Meeting to be held on Wednesday October 8, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. In regards to the rezoning of lands known as Part of Lot 10, Concession 5, Township of Oro-Medonte, located west of Line 5 North, on the south side of Mount Saint Louis Road West, from Waste Disposal to AgriculturaljRural (AJRU). This submission is in opposition to this proposed amendment, and I would ask that the township take into consideration the following items when considering this rezoning: a) Property is located an the crest of a hill and the placement of a driveway on the said property could be a danger to motorists, pedestrians and any occupants of the property due to visibility b) Impact to the wildlife within the area with further development of lands bordering the now closed landfill site I would like to be notified of the decision by the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment.
