2001-125 To Enter into an Agreement between the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte and Georgian-Central Ambulance Communication Centre, Ministry of Health for Tiered Response Activation ""'....#' .., ~ THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE BY-LAW NO. 2001-125 Being a By-law to Enter into an Agreement between The Corporation of the Township of Oro- Medonte and Georgian-Central Ambulance Communication Centre, Ministry of l;Iealth for Tiered Response Activation / WHEREAS the Municipal Act, R.5.O., 1990, c.M.45, Section 102, as amended, authorizes the Council of a Municipality to enact a by-law for the health and safety of its inhabitants; AND WHEREAS The Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte deems it desirable to enter into an agreement with Georgian-Central Ambulance Communication Centre, Ministry of Health to provide tiered response; NOW THEREFORE The Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte enacts as follows: 1. That the Fire Chief, on behalf of the Township of Oro-Medonte, be authorized to execute the Letter of Agreement for the Tiered Response Activation, shown as Schedule "A" attached hereto and forming part of this By-law. 2. That this By-law shall come into full force and effect on its final passing thereof. BY-LAW READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME THIS 5th DAY OF December, 2001. THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE LL ;J:FJ Mayor, Ian Beard ;t+ ~A ~arilYn Pennycook LETTER OF AGREEMENT DATED THE 1st DAY OF January, 2002 FOR THE TIERED RESPONSE ACTIVATION III BETWEEN GEORGIAN - CENTRAL AMBULANCE COMMUNICATION CENTRE, MINISTRY OF HEALTH, AND ORO-MEroN'T'R F'TRF. ^" F.MF.R~F.l\JC'y SF.~Flr:'BS DEPARTMENT When an ambulance is requested for an address within the Municipality/City of Or()-MPrl()nte , the Oro-Medonte Fire & Emergency Se:rvi r.es Department agrees to respond at the request of Georgian -Central Ambulance Communications Centte'(C.A.C.C.) where a person is believed to be suffering from: 1- UNCONSCIOUS- immediate notification 2- Unconscious/Seizure> 30 yr. no hx. - immediate notification 3- Not breathing - immediate notification 4- Unknown if possible cardiac - immediate notification 5- Uncontrol1ed Traumatic Bleed - immediate notification 6- Acute Shortness of Breath - Ambulance arrival on scene> 15 minutes 7 - Cardiac Chest pain - Ambulance arrival on scene> 15 minutes (consider hx..) 8- Allied Agency (including Ambulances) 9- Public request outside of the above criteria This agreement recognizes the local Fire Departments may not be able to respond when occupied with a fire response or for any other reason as detennined by the Fire Chief or designate. It is hereby agreed that all parties have in place the required liability insurance. This agreement will be reviewed, revised, and maintained as a joint effort involving the participating agencies on an annual basis, or at the request of a participating agency. er_ Georgian C.A.
