THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE
BY-LAW NO. 20Ot-50
A By-law to Amend By-law 1997-95 as it relates to the location of Accessory Structures within
the Agricultural/Rural (AlRU) Zone, in the Township of Oro-Medonte, County of Simcoe.

WHEREAS Zoning By-law 1997-95 was enacted to regulate the use of land and the character,
location, and use of buildings and structures within the Township ofOro-Medonte;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte deems it
appropriate to further amend By-law 1997-95, as amended;
AND WHEREAS this By-law is in conformity with the Official Plan of the Township of Oro-
Medonte;
AND WHEREAS authority is granted pursuant to Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O., 1990 c.
P. 13, to the Council of the Corporation ofthe Township ofOro-Medonte to exercise such powers.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP
OF ORO-MEDONTE ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Section 5.1.3 (a) of By-law 1997-95 for the Township ofOro-Medonte, as amended, is hereby
further amended by adding an addition provisions to the end of the section as follows:
"(a) Not be located in the front yard. Notwithstanding this provision, a detached private
garage is permitted to be located in the frontage yard of a lot that abuts Lake Simcoe or
Bass lake provided it is setback a minimum distance equal to the required ITont yard for the
main building from the ITont lot line. Furthermore, a detached accessory building or
structure is permitted in the front yard in the Agricultural/Rural (AIRU) Zone provided it is
not located in the minimum required ITont yard."
2. This By-law shall take effect and come into force pursuant to the provisions of and regulations
made under the Planning Act, R.S.O., 1990 c. P. 13.
