The purpose of the public meeting is to obtain public continents on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. I3. THE PI:fRPOSE of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the lands described as Concession 1, South Part of Lot 1, 8676 Highway 12 {formerly Township of Orillia), from Residential One {R1} Zone to General Commercial {GC) Zone. The applicant has proposed to rezone the rear portion of the property to facilitate the use of a steel building for the storage of equipment and a future use as a contractor yard. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting andlor make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. if a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment is adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
