02 13 2008 2008-ZBA-01 (McNiven) Public AgendaNOTICE OF PUBt_IC MEETING FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ORO-MEDONTE 2008-ZBA-01 TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public Meeting an Wednesday February 13, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Cauncil Chambers. The purpose of the public meeting is to obtain public comments on a proposed amendment to the Zoning By- law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.Q. 1990 c. P. 13. THE PURPOSE of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the lands described as North Part of Lot 3, Concession 8, (Oro), Township of Oro-Medonte, municipally known as 2943 Line 7 North. The applicant was recently granted consent to transpose an existing residential lot fronting on Line 7 North, to front on Line 8 North. The applicant is now applying to rezone the new location for the residential lot from the AgriculturallRural (A/RU) Zone to the Rural Residential Two (RUR2} Zone, and the existing location of the residential lot from the Rural Residential Two (RUR2) Zone back to the Agricultural/Rural (AtRU} Zone. The lot transposition was approved by the Committee of Adjustment an August 10, 2006, (Consent application 2006-B-18}, and as part of provisional approval, the applicant must apply for and obtain a rezoning for the lands to maintain the consistency of the zoning fabric in the area. No new building lot is proposed to be created as a result of this application A KEY MAP illustrating the location of the subject lands is provided below. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting andlor make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the public meeting ar make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment is adapted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal. If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Tawnship of Oro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below. The NVCA has no objection tta this application subject to lands within the Provincially Significant West Coulson Swamp nn the existing lot remaining in an Environmental Protection zone. We advise the new lot created under consent application 2006-B-18 is within an area regulated under the Conservation Authorities Act whereby a permit is required from the NVCA prior to development. We Hate that through the permit process, the NVCA will be advocating a driveway along the northern edge of the property to access the field at the back of the property, thereby limiting disturbance to forest cover and areas of groundwater seeps.
