01 23 2008 2007-ZBA-07(MacVittie) Public AgendaNOTICE OF PUBLIC l~~ETING FOR PROPOSED A1~!IENDI~~NT TO T'I~ ZONING BY-LAW OF TIIE TOWNSIl[IP OF ORO-MEDONTE 2447-ZBA-47 (MacVttie} TAI~:E NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Oro-Medonte will hold a Public Meeting on Wednesday, January 23, 2448 at 7:44 p.m. `in the Municipal Council Chambers. The purpose of the public meeting is to obtain public continents on a proposed .amendment to the Zoning By-law, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. P. 13. THE PURPOSE of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the lands described as Range 2, Part of Lot 3, 978. Line 2 South and Range 2, Part of Lot 3, 892 Line 2 South (formerly Oro Township}. As a result of Consent Application 2006-B-24 approved by the Committee of Adjustment on July 19, 2007, the applicant has proposed to convey a small parcel of land from 978 Line 2 South to 892 Line 2 South. As a condition of the Consent Application, both properties are now required to be rezoned from the AgriculturaURura1(AIRU} Zone to the Residential_One (R 1 }Zone. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting andlor make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Amendment. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect of the proposed Amendment does not make oral submission at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the proposed Amendment is adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss ali or part of the appeal. If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Oro-Medonte in respect to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, you must make a written request to the address below. The amendment proposed will rezone the subject lands from the Agricultural/Rural (A/RU) to the Residential One (R1) Zone for a parcel of land, which was created by Consent Application 2006-B-24. The rezoning of the subject lands was imposed as a condition of consent, which will be added to 892 Line 2 South. No new building lot is proposed as a result of this consent/ rezoning application. Elementary students residing in this area may attend Shanty Bay Public School and secondary students will be bussed to Eastview Secondary School.
